Indexing Notes

Incomplete and misbound. The most likely original location for this chant is at 44v -- as the continuation of "Beate pastor Petre" (a fragmented chant that is continued in a later hand, with no neumes at the exact spot where this fragment recommences).The indexer suggested that this was the continuation of "Egregie doctor Paule", but "Beate pastor Petre" makes more sense on multiple levels, including how it includes the Egregie text, and that a memorial for Paul follows immediately after this fragment. As well, pitches are the same between this fragment and "Beate pastor Petre" as found at Peter and Paul on 112r. There are pitch and neumation differences between this fragment and "Egregie doctor Paule" at 114r / 225 for the Conversion of Paul.
