Description

Large leaf including Antiphons for the fourth Sunday and fifth Saturday and Sunday after Easter. The fragment includes two ornamented initials with blue and red ink.

The folio is numbered by what appears to be a later hand, with the Arabic numeral ‘100’ written on the recto.

Red, four-line staff with square notation; double ruling forming the vertical margins, with near-horizontal custodes. The script is Southern Textualis. Apparently the end of a quire, since the lower margin of the verso contains a catchword. The chants are common and do not provide localization of use, but the decoration and script suggest the fragment is Italian, perhaps 15th century (although the large size and use of "Seoae" for differentiae are also found in Iberian sources).
