Description

Single parchment folio (membrum disjectum), extracted from the cantatorium Laon BM 239 and identified as the missing fol. 89, with a later annotation on the recto upper left corner reading “Laon n° 59”; written in Caroline minuscule with Lotharingian adiastematic neumes, late 9th century; significantly damaged by humidity and tearing, the parchment shrunk and warped; contents preserve part of a sequence of Alleluias.

The edge of the missing folio was still bound with Laon 239 at the timeof the facsimile in Palógraphie Musicale; see the index of this fragment: https://cantusdatabase.org/source/1000464.
