Binding: Contemporary binding with some restorations; wooden boards, likely original, with no bevel, and leather spine; openwork brass cornerpieces and five raised bosses on front and rear boards; raised bosses on head and tail edges; remnants of upper and lower leather straps with brass catches and central leather strap; six silk ribbon markers; text sewn on six cords; 15 parchment tabs sewn on edges, some later replacements.
