From the McGill library description:

"Fragment of a 17th-century choir book likely written in Spain or Mexico.

Produced in Italy in the late 15th-century according to de Ricci.

Mass Ordinary chants on 5-line red staves with texts and neumes in black ink ; liturgical rubric in red.

Text decoration: each Kyrie iteration begins with a large initial K (the first in brown and blue (incorporating a facial profile), accompanied by a flower, all against a red panel background decorated with a gold filigree pattern ; the others ornately knotted in black ink) ; the Gloria begins with a large decorated initial G (incorporating a female figure in the curve) against a blue panel decorated with a gold filigree pattern and depictions of a snail, bird and strawberry plant."
