Summary
Noted breviary, one leaf, Spanish, 16th century. 344x240 mm., writing surface 250x165. Square notation in black ink on a red five-line staff.
Liturgical Occasions

Feast unspecified; based on concordances, likely Sabbato per annum.

Description

Single leaf, likely from a noted breviary or a psalm section of an antiphoner; only a small amount of music is visible, which appears to be a psalm tone, followed by an unnotated psalm text in a single column (18 lines on verso; 16 on recto, as two are taken up by musical notation.) The psalm and division begin with large, plain initials 3 lines in height; each verse is marked with a red 1-ine initial. Written in Southern Textualis in a Spanish style. A small correction is present on the verso.
Music is on five-line red staff with square notation, upward pointing custodes, and very faint lines of division.

As described by McGill in 2018:

"One leaf, on vellum, in latin. 16th century. Spanish. 344x240 mm., writing surface 250x165 mm. One column, 18 lines. 5-line staves in red ink, with musical notation in black ink. Text written in black ink, red rubrics. Two two-line red initals (B, D), numerous one-line red initials. No decoration.
