Indexing Notes
The chant is written with a precisely drawn notes, the staff line very clear, but the right side of the folio is damaged, so partially the chant is hard to read. The division of notes and syllables is not always clear. There are also lines drawn from the syllables to the notation. The S-shaped neume on [sanctua]ri[um] indicates an ascending melody with some ornament or liquescent. The interpretation of this neume remains ambiguous since the neume does not appear in a consistent way in this manuscript. Generally speaking, the neume could be there to signify pes stropha, pes quilisma, pes liquescent or just a non-ornamental pes. When comparing with other sources, the neume on [sanctua]ri[um] could be pes stropha (see F-Pn : Lat. 1087 f.91v ; F-Pn : Lat. 12584 f.204v ; F-Pn : Lat. 12584 f.54r ; Graduale Triplex).
