Description

This fragment is framed with glass on both sides, so both sides are visible making possible a full inventory of the fragment. Mats are used on both sides, so the full dimensions of the leaf are not known.

The leaf is paper, not parchment, and comprises 10 staves per page, with 4 lines per staff. All staff lines are red. Printed with movable type (as the small gaps between the 'sorts' that each included a small section of the four-line staff or types of notes are visible). The leaf is paginated, not foliated.

The visible part of the leaf is 440 mm high and 276 mm wide.
Principal writing space: 394 mm high and 262 mm wide.
Staff height: 19 mm
Height between staff lines: 6-6.5 mm

The fragment was purchased in Italy in the 1990s.
